The Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the ATHENA Award, which will be presented in January to the 2012 East Hawaii Business Woman of the Year.
For more than 20 years, HICC has presented this prestigious award to those women in the community who have demonstrated excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession.
The ATHENA Award recipients provide a valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and actively assist women in realizing their full leadership potential.
ATHENA recipients remain in this exclusive club for life and truly believe that they all have a continuing responsibility to mentor, support and encourage women of all ages in our community.
Please support the outstanding women in our community by submitting a nomination. There are many exemplary women in our East Hawaii community, and the Chamber would be proud to receive applications on their behalf.
A business associate, a fellow club member, or possibly a deserving friend? Please take the time to submit a nomination for the woman you believe is most deserving of this recognition.
The 2012 ATHENA Award recipient will be announced at the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce’s Bank of Hawaii ATHENA Award luncheon on Jan. 9, 2013, in conjunction with the Chamber’s third-quarter general membership meeting.
The nomination deadline is Thursday, Nov. 15. Nomination forms are available from the Chamber office in hardcopy or email admin@hicc.biz to request an electronic copy in a fillable pdf format. Forms are also available online at www.hicc.biz. Please call the Chamber office at 935-7178 for more information.
