Hawaii unemployment held steady last month
HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii’s seasonally adjusted unemployment last month held steady at 6.4 percent.
The state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations said Friday that July’s rate was unchanged from the previous month. The rate increased in June after holding steady for two months.
The state says there were about 603,000 people who had jobs last month and nearly 41,000 without jobs.
Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.3 percent. It was 8.2 percent in June.
