The third annual Volcano Art Center Rain Forest Runs will take place Saturday at Cooper Center in Volcano.
The event will begin at 7 a.m. with a half-marathon. A 10-kilometer run will follow at 7:30 a.m., with a 5K run/walk set for 7:45.
The entry fee is $75 for the half-marathon, $45 for the 10K and $35 for the 5K. Those wanting to register for the half-marathon must do so by 6 p.m. Friday. Athletes may register in person from 2 to 6 p.m. at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus.
Athletes can register for the 10K and 5K runs until 7 a.m. on race morning.
Also, a carbo-loading dinner will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kilauea Military Camp’s cafeteria. The cost is $15 for those age 12 and up and $8.50 for children ages 6-11.
