Dems to rally downtown

CORRECTION — The Neighbor Island’s Democratic Grand Rally will be held Friday, Aug. 10, at 5 p.m. at the Mooheau Bandstand in downtown Hilo.

The event will include more than 30 Democratic primary candidates, and each will be given time to address their supporters. At least six Hawaii County Council candidates plan to attend.

Flag waving will take place before the rally along Kamehameha Avenue at 3:30 p.m.

Chili and light refreshments will be served.

The Tribune-Herald incorrectly reported in Friday’s edition that rally will be held today (August 3).
