The Vulcan XC 5K run will be held 8 a.m. Aug. 11 as a benefit for the University of Hawaii at Hilo cross country program.
Early entry fee is $20, $25 after Aug. 6, and race-day registration will be at the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort Golf Course driving range from 6:45-7:45 a.m. The run follows on the golf course.
Top male and female overall winner will be recognized as well as age group honorees.
Refreshments will be provided following the race.
In addition, a free 1-mile keiki fun run for ages 14 and under will be held at 8:45 a.m.
