Megan Yoshino Dorothy Aina and Kathy Ann Tomoe Oyadomari are the winners of the annual Onao Kurisu Saito & Shinichi Saito Scholarships. Each received a $1,000 award.
“Congratulations to Megan and Kathy. Based on their transcripts, recommendations from teachers, individuals and their active participation in school activities, church and community involvement, we can be assured that they both will be successful in meeting and achieving their goals,” said Bob Mento of the sponsoring Honomu Hongwanji Mission.
Aina, a recent Kamehameha graduate, will attend the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Oyadomari, a Hilo High School graduate, will attend UH-Manoa. Both will major in business administration.
They are the daughters of Charles Jr. and Jamie Aina and Alvin and Sharman Oyadomari.
