HONOLULU (AP) — A Hawaii interisland air carrier is revamping its look and upgrading its fleet.
Island Air announced Thursday that along with a new look, it is upgrading its fleet with more fuel efficient jet-prop aircraft that can carry more passengers.
The new branding includes an enhanced website and new logo.
The airline says the new aircraft will allow serving any major airport. Island Air currently offers 352 weekly flights between Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and the Big Island.
The announcement comes after Hawaiian Airlines revealed plans to acquire turboprops to fly to smaller airports and compete with interisland carriers like Island Air.
