Police have charged a 37-year-old Pahoa man for a burglary in Puna last week.
On June 13 at about 3 p.m., police responded to a call from a 32-year-old Pahoa man who reported that upon returning to his Nanawale Estates home, he discovered someone had broken into the house and removed several items worth about $2,500.
Detectives arrested Jesse Robert Murray early Tuesday afternoon for this incident and for an unrelated theft in Kailua-Kona on July 6. Detectives have recovered several of the items allegedly stolen. Murray was charged on Wednesday with one count of first-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree theft. His bail was set at $45,000, and his initial court appearance was scheduled for Thursday.
