The Hawaii County Fire Department declared Sunday an end to the two Ka’u wildfires that threatened Pahala and damaged seven coffee farms in the area.
According to a Sunday evening release, the fires were considered terminated as of 6 p.m.
“In district personnel will continue to monitor perimeter along fire breaks and provide resources as needed,” the release stated.
