The Kona Coast All-Stars jumped out to a 7 – 0 lead, and Jackson Miles pitched two scoreless innings for the win Friday at Waimea ballpark.
Jamison Medeiros led the Kona Coast All-Stars with two towering home runs and six RBIs. A.J. Alani had three triples, and Marley Orlando added two hits.
Cruz Alani Horan, Drew Bosque, and Nate Heymann, each had a hit for Kona Coast.
For North Hawaii, Ry Bleckel had two singles and Chad Yanigasawa a double.
Game 2: Hilo All-Stars 13, Hamakua All-Stars 1.
The Hilo All-Stars scored seven runs in the top of the first inning en route to a TKO victory over the Hamakua All-Stars in a game that ended after four innings.
Ocean Gabonia pitched three strong innings for the win. Paul Antony led the Hilo attack with two hits while Kilohana Haasenritter capped the scoring with a grand slam.
Jaystin Lewi, Devez Aniol, and Kahulialii Augustin had hits for Hilo.
For Hamakua, Kalia Augustin, Kaiah Badon, and Kalani Marquez each had a hit.
