Kona police have arrested a 43-year-old Kailua-Kona man they had described in a bulletin as “armed and dangerous.”
Robert Kanuela Tanoai, also known as “Boomer,” turned himself in at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Kealakehe police station and was charged with unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening and two counts of assault.
He’s being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $100,000 bail pending his initial court appearance, scheduled for today.
