The O.H.A.N.A. Foundation has awarded eight scholarships to Oregon and Hawaii high school seniors. The 2012 Kulia I Ka Nu‘u recipients from the Big Island are Megan Cabison and Kendra Fujioka, both of Hilo.
The foundation’s mission is to empower students to strive for excellence in reaching their educational and career goals.
The Aloha, Ore.,-based nonprofit foundation continues to partner with the community to fulfill its mission to make a difference by promoting education.
“Our mission and our goals for the foundation revolve around supporting education, and what better way to do it than by investing in our future leaders,” said a foundation spokesman.
