Members of the Hawaiian Blend Paintball Team volunteered at the recent Boy Scout Makahiki at Edith Kanaka‘ole Multipurpose Stadium in Hilo.
The team members manned a shooting booth at the annual scouting event. Folks of all ages enjoyed trying their hand at the popular recreational sport.
Hawaiian Blend participated in last November’s National Players Paintball League tournament in Las Vegas. The team is scheduled to compete in October at the NPPL World Championship, again in Las Vegas.
The nine team members are Beau Fujiyama, Avery Fujie, Branden Gomera, team captain Cole Kawamoto, Ralph Pascual, Lucas Gomera, Brian Chin, Jesse MacMullin and Dan Madrigal. They are coached by Charlie Kawamoto. They practice and compete at the Pahoa Paintball Field, and will compete on Oahu in July.
