Health E. Hound, the mascot of United Healthcare Community Plan, will visit the YMCA Saturday, April 28, for the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day. United Healthcare is sponsoring the fun and educational event.
Admission is free for the program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waiakea Settlement YMCA building at 300 W. Lanikaula St., across from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
“You can test your keiki’s vision and fitness. You can learn about diabetes and other health topics. There will be a bouncing castle, face painting, food concessions, games and prizes, a dog cart ride, a small petting zoo, keiki performances, the Waiakea Ukulele Band, lots of health booths, Hawaiian crafts, karaoke and much more,” said spokesman Ken Okimoto.
Scrip will be sold, and a “big game prize” will be a bicycle. Call the YMCA for more information at 935-3721.
