The talented Vulcan turned in rounds of 71 and 69 for a two-round total of 4-under-par 140 on the par-72 course. Heading into today’s final round, Dixie State’s Nick Drost led the tournament with at 139 (67-72).
UHH’s Corey Kozuma (70-77) and Dalen Yamauchi (72-75) were tied in 22nd place at 3-over-par 147 while Chris Shimomura (80-80) and Christian Agosto (77-83) were tied for 93rd place at 160. Competing as an individual is Nick Matsushima who was tied for 68th place at 154 (79-75).
Host Cal State Stanislaus held the team lead with a two-round score of 568. The hosts were followed by Western Washington (579), Chico State (585), Dixie State and Cal State-East Bay (587), Point Loma Nazarene and Hawaii Hilo (591). St. Martin’s (593), Grand Canyon and Cal State Monterey Bay (594), Sonoma State and Notre Dame de Namur (599), UC San Diego (606), Montana State Billings (608), Cal State San Bernardino (609), California Baptist (610), Academy of Art (611), Holy Names (613), Cal State Dominguez Hills (620) and Northwest Nazarene (630).
