Hawaii Community College will host its 24th annual Earth Day Fair from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, on the HCC Manono Campus.
This year, there will be more than 50 exhibits and plenty of giveaways such as lemonade, popcorn, fruit and cookies. The HCC Forest Team and Agriculture Departments, as well as other native plant growers, will donate more than 1,000 free native tree seedlings and edible herbs.
Featured performers will include HCC’s Unukupukupu; ukulele and hula by students from Kua O Ka La PCS, HCC students in a Trash Fashion Show, To‘a Here Tahitian dancers, Tupalaga O Samoa Mo A Taeao Samoan dancers, Japan Club dancers, music by Ras Sparrow, IBIS with Dave Seawater and One Journey. “Thank you to our sponsors, HCC Student Life Council, HCC Student Government and Creative Arts Hawaii,” said spokeswoman Sherri Fujita.
