The public is invited to a Got Talent! Showcase presented by Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin’s affiliate and temple organizations from 6:30-9 p.m. on Friday, April 20, in the Sangha Hall at 424 Kilauea Ave., next to Starbucks in downtown Hilo.

Performances will range from solo singing and acting to group singing and acting. On tap are creative performances by children and adults.

An affiliate and organizational display will be set up for the public’s viewing. Betsuin affiliate entities include the Japanese Language School (Gakuen), 4-H, Kendo and Dharma School, among others.

Admission is free. Volunteers will collect canned goods for the Food Basket, and attendees are invited to bring a nonperishable item or two to help the Big Isle food bank feed hungry isle residents.
