Boys & Girls Club officials from across the state will honor U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye Wednesday, April 11, at a Mentoring Grant Appreciation Event at the B&GC of Hawaii in Honolulu.
“This event is a mahalo to Senator Inouye for his longstanding support of the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs, as well as his recent efforts in securing U.S. Department of Justice funding to support mentoring of Boys & Girls Club members at clubhouses throughout the state of Hawaii,” said Cathy Blankenship, development director for the Oahu program.
Leaders and participants from B&GC programs on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island will demonstrate activities and provide information about their work in the community.
