The University of Hawaii at Hilo claimed ninth place at the 18-team Grand Canyon University Women’s Invitational on Tuesday in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
The squad of Dayna Bersamin, Erika Morihiro, Kacie Harada, Kristen Sawada and Nyssa Aoki finished the 36-hole competition with a 644.
Host and team champion GCU won the team title with a 604.
Bersamin tied for 30th place with a 160 (83-77). One stroke back and tied for 37th place were Morihiro (81-80) and Harada (79-82). Sawada tied for 49th place (81-82—163) while Aoki tied for 54th place (82-82—164).
GCU’s Ashley Mooney won the tournament with a 6-over-par 148 (73-75).
