Big Island Road Runners event April 8

The Big Island Road Runners will host its annual Emily Wedemann 5-mile run April 8.

The 7:30 a.m. run starts and ends at the parking lot of Coconut Island (Moku Ola) in Hilo, with registration before the event.

There is no charge, but donations to the American Cancer Society are encouraged to honor Wedemann — a dedicated volunteer for the Big Island Road Runners for a number of years.
