Cougars to raise money on Family Fun Day
The Keaau Cougars Athletic Boosters are sponsoring the 3rd annual Family Fun Day on the Keaau High School campus on Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This event is a fundraiser for the school’s Project Grad.
The senior class and spring sport athletes are selling $10 entry fee tickets. Tickets will also be available at the school entrance.
According to KCAB President Ceci Kaho’oilihala, “Project Grad is an important preventive event to keep our graduating seniors safe on the night of their graduation and KCAB is happy to be a sponsor.”
The Family Fun Day will feature live entertainment, a rummage and bake sale, demonstrations, craft and business vendors, ono grinds, keiki games, a talent show and door prizes.
“We are still looking for entrants for the talent show. We are offering prizes for the top three most talented,” Kaho’oilihala said.
The Family Fun Day will kick off with the Maka Mile at 9 a.m. The Maka Mile is to honor Maka’ala Lum Ho, a Keaau High School athlete, who died last year. The Maka Mile is to benefit Keaau High School’s cross country team.
For more information, call Ceci Kaho’oilihala at 895-2391 or Emmalani Hoglund at 987-1297.
