Firm wins bid for repair

A bid for the Honoka‘a Gym roof repair project has been awarded to Ivan Mochida Contracting, according to an update from Council Chairman Dominic Yagong’s office.

The project cost $570,932, with work to “commence shortly.”

Also, the county will begin the bidding process for a project to replace lighting wire for the Honoka‘a Park Upper Ball Field. The project would allow the community to hold more evening events with a well-lit ball field.
