Plant sale coming to zoo
Mother’s Day is just around the corner — on Sunday, May 12 — and the Friends of the Zoo volunteers will help you pick out just the right gifts for the favorite moms in your life.
The Friends invite everyone to their 15th annual Friends of the Zoo Plant Sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.
All kinds of plants and flowers will be for sale. These will include vireya, palms, fruit trees, water garden plants, orchids and bamboo. Fruit fly traps by area Master Gardeners and coffee and donuts by the Friends of the Zoo will also be available for sale.
“So come on out to the entrance circle to the Pana‘ewa Equestrian Center and pick out something special for Mom’s special day,” said a spokesman. For more information, please visit www.hilozoo.com.
