Jenni Bess Kuuleilani Lerback, 43, of Kailua-Kona died March 20 at home. Born in Kealakekua, she was a member of Developmental Disabilities Group and Health Resources Inc. Rose Ibarra Olaso, 82, of Hilo died Oct. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Papaikou, she was a retired waitress and U.S. Army veteran. Francis Segundo, 69, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 26 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a state adult corrections officer, cane truck driver for the former Ka‘u Agribusiness and U.S. Army Vietnam era veteran. Graveside services 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Survived by daughters, Natasha (Matthew) Paio and Selena Segundo of Kailua-Kona, Jennifer Segundo of Naalehu; brothers, Leslie Segundo and Randy Segundo of Honolulu; sisters, June Segundo-DeFeo and Norma (Nelson) Ganeku of Oahu; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Patrick Lodrigues Vasquez, 70, of Kealakekua died Oct. 17 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was an operations assistant at The ARC of Kona, music minister at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. John’s Catholic churches and member of the latter, and graduate of Castle High School who attended the Diamond Head School for the Blind. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Kealakekua. Prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 8-9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the church. Mass at 9 a.m. Survived by mother, Esquiela Vasquez of Kealakekua; brothers, Rodney (Susan) Vasquez of Kailua-Kona, Dexter Vasquez of Ewa, Oahu, Jonathan (Tawon) Vasquez of Illinois and Vaughn (Regie) Vasquez of Kealakekua; sisters, Augustina Mercado of Kaneohe, Oahu, Pamela (Craig) Camello of Kailua-Kona and Carmelyn (Noren) Nagamine of Los Angeles; sister-in-law, Frances Vasquez of Mountain View; nieces, nephews and cousins.
