Dolores Pulgados Tobosa Sumibcay, 87, of Pepeekeo died Monday, April 28, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a homemaker and a member of the Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu, Pepeekeo Sr. Citizens Club, Kulaimano U.E. Club and International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Women’s Auxiliary. Friends may call on Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; Visitation from 9-11 a.m.; Funeral service at 11 a.m. Casual attire; Burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Lehua Section) Survived by sons, Alvin Jodie Tobosa of Hilo, Andrew Dexter (Jacquie) Tobosa of Pearl City, Oahu, Eric Valentin (Theresa) Tobosa of Maui, Rikey Darold (Tricia) Tobosa of Pepeekeo and Donilo Joven Sumibcay of Pepeekeo; brother, Gadioso (Vinora) Pulgados of Pepeekeo; sisters, Dolly (Ernesto) Defiesta of San Jose, Calif., Lucia (Zack) Abregano of Waipahu, Elsie (Ashley) Hung of Aiea and Rosaline (Emery) Wong of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ronald Berdon Sr., 68, of Kailua-Kona died May 21 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honokaa, he was the owner of Berdon Marine Repairs, a former boat mechanic for Akamai Marine, Aloha Marine and B &L Marine. He was also a member of Hope Chapel Kailua-Kona and Gospel of Salvation Kohala. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Kona Palisades Recreational Center. Service at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Casual attire. Lei and loose flowers welcome.
