Signs warn of sharks’ presence

HONOLULU (AP) — Signs warning of sharks in the area were posted at Alii Beach in Oahu’s Haleiwa.

Surfers spotted an 8-foot long, nonaggressive shark Tuesday at surf break.

Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division spokeswoman Shayne Enright said the shark was seen about 150 yards offshore.
