WAIPAHU, Oahu (AP) — Honolulu police are investigating a series of armed robberies in Oahu during the weekend.
Attempted robberies were reported at two gas stations, one in Waipahu and another at Salt Lake.
Police said that shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, witnesses at a McDonald’s in Waikele reported seeing a man going through the restaurant window, taking money and running off.
The man in that case is described as being slim, about 5-foot-8-inches tall and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
Police said the descriptions for the suspect matches in each incident. Police add it’s not certain if it was the same man, however.
