Fusayo Matsuyama, 97, of Hilo died July 8 in Hilo. Born in Paauilo, she owned the former Hawaii Bargain Store and was a member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin Kyodan, Buddhist Women’s Association, and Houselots Family and Community Education Club. Zane Udell Northam, 86, of Papaikou died July 6 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Garner, Texas, he was a retired federal worker, pilot, Army-Air Force veteran and member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 2166, Hawaii Island Shrine Club-Hilo, Aloha Temple-Honolulu and American Legion Post 139. Urn committal at a later date. Survived by wife, Aloha L. Northam of Papaikou; daughters, Zana Uilani Anderson of Layton, Utah, and Valerie Lei Kitchen of Salt Lake City; brother, Elmer (Mary Jane) Northam of Texas; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
