Would you give blood to save the life of someone you love?
Give thanks this holiday season by making an appointment to donate blood because you never know whose life you’ll save.
The general requirements to be a blood donor are simple:
• Be in good health.
• Be 18 years of age or older (16-17-year-old donors with signed Blood Bank of Hawaii parent/legal guardian consent).
• Weigh 110 pounds or more (additional height/weight requirements apply for female donors 16-18 years old).
• Bring photo ID with date of birth.

The following are Big Island blood drives scheduled for November To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 848-4770 or visit BBH.org. Drives are subject to change.
• 8:45 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Monday (Nov. 20), LDS Hilo, Cultural Hall.
• 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 21), Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Luau Hale, Main Room.
• 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 22), Grand Naniloa Hotel, Hilo.
