Martin F. Bartolome, 95, of Pahoa died June 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Banna Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, he was a retired worker for the former Puna Sugar Co., self-employed papaya farmer and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Friday (Aug. 17) at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 18) at the church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei welcome. Burial at the church cemetery. Survived by daughters, Helen (Dimas) Maulit of Pahoa, Dinah (Jerry) Battles of Keaau and Rosario Engle of Honolulu; sons, Jose (Esther) Bartolome of Seattle, Gabriel (Aurea) Bartolome of Keaau and Elvis (Cheryl) Bartolome of Pahoa; sister in-law, Yolanda R. Bartolome of Pahoa; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
