County could start building Kona homeless village by year’s end

Camp Kikaha in the Old Kona Industrial Area was set up after the county evicted homeless illegally residing at Old Kona Airport Park.

An infusion of state money is enabling the county to begin the process of turning a vacant lot at the corner of Kealakehe Parkway and Ane Keohokalole Highway in West Hawaii into a homeless village.
