UH-Hilo to screen Chilean film

The University of Hawaii at Hilo invites the public to attend a free screening of the documentary “Their Dreams Endure: Veins of Resistance in Chile” by Joshua Tucker, an American journalist and filmmaker living in Chile, from 3-6 p.m. Friday in UCB Room 100.

A question and answer session with Tucker follows the screening.

The documentary examines three distinct Chilean social movements and their efforts to bring about change through free quality education for all, sovereignty for the indigenous Mapuche people and urban land occupations where people struggle for dignified housing.
