George Takeo Honma, 90, of Hilo died Feb. 7. Born on Oahu, he was retired from the state Sheriff’s Division, an avid golfer and bowler and U.S. Army veteran. Private services held. Raymond Kalau Keala Jr., 60, of Hilo died Feb. 7 at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he was a tour driver for Roberts Hawaii. Daniel Shungi Uekawa, 93, of Hilo died Feb. 8 at a private care home in Hilo. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired salesman for U.S. Plywood on Oahu and the former Schuman Lumber in Hilo and U.S. Army World War II veteran of Anti-Tank Company, 442nd Regimental Combat Team.
