Antone “Tony” De Luz III, 47, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Paauilo, died Jan. 19 in Chandler. Born in Honokaa, he was the former owner of a Brake Masters and a Tire Pro shop in Apache Junction, Ariz., a journeyman union plumber and member of the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau. Services held. Survived by son, Antone “Anthony” De Luz IV of Chandler; daughter, Erika De Luz of Chandler; father Antone De Luz Jr.; brother, Duane (Sheila) De Luz; sister, Elisa (Oscar) Dalmacio; brother-in-law, Kevin (Claudine) McIver; nieces and nephews. Olivia “Oli” Keonaona Ka‘aihue, 58, of Kapolei, Oahu, died Jan 4 at home. Born in Pahala, she was employed by Goodwill Industries in Honolulu. Oahu visitation 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Kahala Beach Park. Service at 3 p.m. Luncheon to follow. Big Island visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Kauaha‘ao Congregation Church in Waiohinu. Service at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Aloha attire. Survived by sons, Siosaia Talakai and Keith Kamana; daughters, Lisia Talakai, Welena Kamana and Laura Ka‘aihue; brothers, Isaiah Ka‘aihue and Will Ka‘aihue; sisters, Royenna Yoshimura, Faith Mokiau and Abigail Ka‘aihue; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hisayo Kubo, 89, of Pahoa died Feb. 10 at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Olaa, she was a retired sales clerk for the former Pahoa Cash &Carry and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Kyu Pahoa Kumiai and Pahoa Nikkei Jin Kai. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Andrew (Ada) Kubo of Keaau; brothers, Aki (Aiko) Muranaka of Torrance, Calif., and Jack (Jean) Muranaka of Honolulu; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews. Myron Tekeji Okubo, 66, of Kohala died Feb. 19 in Kohala. Born in Kohala, he was a retired mason foreman and member of Kohala Hongwanji Mission and Hawaii Masons Union Local 1. Visitation noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Kohala Hongwanji Mission in Kapaau. Memorial service at 2 p.m. Casual attire. Betty Aiko Taketa, 88, of Hilo died Feb. 22 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker and formerly employed at Hawaii Electric Light Co. Private services at a later date.
