Gordon Herbert Palmer, 76, of Waikoloa died Feb. 2 at home. Born in North Hilo, he was a station manager for Hawaiian Airlines in Honolulu, station manager for Avis Rent A Car at the old Kona Airport and security officer for Securitas Security Services and the former Freeman Guards. Celebration of life 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Barbara Palmer of Waikoloa; sons, James Perkins and Ronald Perkins of Waikoloa; daughters, Denette (Gerald) Gaspar of Nanakuli, Oahu, Ebby Gleason and Laurie (Steven) Mahelona of Kailua-Kona, Lynette Pacheco of Laughlin, Nev., Lisa (Alvin) Inouye of Captain Cook and Leilani Palmer of Joshua Tree, Calif.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
