Francisco “Rico” Ventura Cariaga, 92, of Hilo died Jan. 20 at home. Born in Camiling Tarlac, the Philippines, he was a retired macadamia nut harvester for Mac Farms of Hawaii, employee of the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. and member of Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association (Waiakea Chapter), American Association of Retired Persons and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 25) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Monday (Feb. 26) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Maria Corazon Quindiagan Esteban Cariaga of Hilo; sons, Santiago (Susing) Cariaga, Patricio (Lolita) Cariaga and Felipe (Linda) Cariaga of Naalehu; daughters, Corazon Manalo, Joane (Tyrone Campbell) Cariaga, Frances Marie E.
