Thirty-four Hawaii District students traveled to Honolulu in April to compete in the 60th Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair sponsored by the Hawaii Academy of Science.
Thirty-four Hawaii District students traveled to Honolulu in April to compete in the 60th Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair sponsored by the Hawaii Academy of Science.
The students earned their place at the state fair after successful completion of the Hawaii District Science and Engineering Fair. The students represented Hawaii District well and were honored for their efforts.
Notably, Anne Nakamoto of Waiakea High School won the Chevron/Texaco Poster Contest. Her artwork will be featured as the publication cover of the 2018 state competition.
Also, Jared Goodwin and Ina Klasner of Hilo High School will continue on to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair this month in Los Angeles.
