Kindergartners and first-graders at Hawaii Preparatory Academy will present “Character Matters” at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5 at Gates Performing Arts Center on the school’s Upper Campus.

The performance is free and open to the public.

In this curriculum-based musical, the Fairy Tale Advice Council offers help in character-building to famous folk creatures. The Big Bad Wolf learns the Golden Rule; Cinderella gets help in managing her anger; and Jack and the Giant discover their differences are cool.

HPA’s Lower School music teacher Georgia Polakova directs. This is the final in a series of musical productions by HPA’s Lower School students.
