After overturning the Thirty Meter Telescope’s land use permit Dec. 2, the state Supreme Court on Tuesday officially remanded the case back to the 3rd Circuit Court.

After overturning the Thirty Meter Telescope’s land use permit Dec. 2, the state Supreme Court on Tuesday officially remanded the case back to the 3rd Circuit Court.

The Supreme Court justices are directing the lower court to send the matter back to the state Board of Land and Natural Resources for a new contested case hearing.

It’s not clear when the Circuit Court will take that action.
